- Meet the owner
My name is Al Pogue, owner of Bayou Food Safety LLC. A Covington native, I have been involved in the restaurant industry in one aspect or another for 30+ years. As an owner and manager I have gained insights into the operational side of the business. The past 20 years I have honed my skills as a health inspector for the State of Louisiana, and as a food safety specialist for UL Everclean and Steritech.
I have traveled the country performing food safety inspections for a variety of corporate food service establishments. I have been licensed as a Registered Sanitarian (RS) for the State of Louisiana, and a Certified Professional - Food Safety (CP-FS) by NEHA. I am also a certified Instructor/Proctor for Servsafe.
